The February 2016 Creative Writing Competition. Where to find the stories and how to vote.

ALL MyT SITE MEMBERS ARE INVITED TO READ AND ENJOY THE STORIES ENTERED IN THE FEBRUARY 2016 CREATIVE WRITING COMPETITION AND THEN, IF THEY SO WISH, VOTE FOR THE TOP THREE PLACINGS.

JUST FOLLOW THE LINKS TO THE STORIES LISTED BELOW TO FIND THEM ON-SITE.

********************************

The deadline for entries into the February 2016 Creative Writing Competition passed at Midnight last night.(29.02.2016)

The topic for the stories was set by Claire who chose the topic ‘BOWIE’

Claire commented as follows ..
“I’d like to propose Bowie-related theme for the February creative writing topic. I initially thought of ‘Absolute beginners’ – but then found there were so many other Bowie songs that it was difficult to choose…With that in mind, I’d like to make the February topic the title of a David Bowie song. It can be any song – the choice is yours – and take the form of a story or a poem.”

Thank you to all the writers who have entered a story, and thanks in advance to all those readers on the MyT site who I hope will now support the competition by reading the stories and registering their vote in the form of a comment on the post that can be found on his link …

************************************************************************

This is an open competition, and any interested party who wishes to participate is welcome to join in the voting and/or commenting on the stories at the appropriate time or place.

As in previous months, it would help if voters would make sure to quote the name of the story when posting their vote. This month we have three stories with the same title so please make sure that you include the bracket number 1, 2, or 3, in the title as well.

Voting can now commence and will continue until 11 p.m. on Tuesday the 8th. of March 2016.

There are no restrictions as to who is allowed to vote, all that is asked is that the voter reads all the stories and votes according to their preference. A brief reason for your choice is welcome but not mandatory.

Voters are requested to vote 5 points for first place, 3 points for second, and 1 point for third place.
Please do not submit any other point combinations such as 3/3/3, 4/4/1, 5/2/2, etc.

Writers are requested not to vote for any of their own entries. There will be no detailed summaries posted as to how the voting is progressing throughout the voting period but as soon as possible after voting closes a tabulated list of results will be posted separately and the winner declared.

*************************************************************

PLEASE DO NOT COMMENT AT LENGTH ABOUT THE STORIES OR RECORD ANY THOUGHTS THAT YOU MAY HAVE ON THEM, UNTIL AFTER VOTING CLOSES.

IF YOU WISH TO DESCRIBE IN DETAIL THE REASONS FOR YOUR CHOICES, OR COMMENT AT LENGTH ABOUT SOME OR ALL OF THE INDIVIDUAL STORIES, A SEPARATE PAGE WILL BE SET UP AT THE END OF THE VOTING PERIOD AND AFTER THE RESULT HAS BEEN POSTED.
